Illustration

When I purchased my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil in 2017, I had no idea how much it would revolutionize my creative process.

While Illustration and Surface Design mesh quite well together, I usually consider my illustrations one-off pieces where as my surface design speaks more with patterns and collections. Both portray a similar vibe and feel and feature fun and whimsical characters, holidays, themes, objects and occasions.

It doesn’t end there though! I also love applying my illustrations to a variety of products and crafts that I design and make myself!

    Surface Design & Patterns

I was fortunate enough to have had some exposure to Surface Design in prior years. I had my first patterns sold on coffee mugs in 2012 thanks to a company I was interning with at the time. From there, I ended up working in the gifting industry where I also had some of my designs selected to be sold to retail customers within the USA as well as some designs for the product stock line.

It was thanks to this experience that allowed me to pursue my interest in Surface Design. From there I have taken some courses to further my understanding of the subject matter and I hope to focus more on licensing and commission work in this area.
