2004
The "Last Survivor" was born.
I remember sitting in 8th grade in one of my classes, saying to myself “I wonder what life would be like if this world was different. What if fantasy was real?” which sparked the whole idea for The LS project. It was originally about a teenage girl who was kidnapped by Demons and forced to live in their world. However as I grew to write it out and develop the characters, things shifted tremendously and I really grew to enjoy what the characters started to become..
2012
The Comic
As it became hard to write as I exited college and got into the working world, I started a comic, that was short lived of the series. I wanted to take my writings and turn them into characters. I made shorts and skits, but it didn;t convey my world building and the feelings.
I could close my eyes and feel the winter of Keresadia. I could smell the fall harvests in Demonia. Comics and cartooning couldn’t bring this to life.
Today
My visions through AI
With the help of AI, not only am I able to make renderings of my characters/ creatures, BUT I can also tell their stories through songs I wrote and generate images (that I usually edit) to further expand my story telling.
This is the world I have been building since I was in 8th grade. These characters have been with me for most of my life. Nyxi was my first original character, and I have the softest spot for him and what he has become.
About the Story
In a world torn apart by endless wars and the clash of powerful races, balance is a fragile concept. Between the living, dead and spirit realm, there are a lot of conflicts going on in the world.
At the heart of this turmoil is Demonia, a realm of stark contrasts. Lush, green, and perpetually shrouded in rain, Demonia is home to sprawling villages and abundant resources, a place where nature thrives despite the ever-present shadow of war. Yet it is ruled by one of the most feared beings in existence—Nyxi, the Demon Lord. Known for his merciless reign and unyielding power, Nyxi is a being of darkness, feared by all who dare to cross him. His life wasn’t always that way, though.
But even in a world so consumed by strife, there are moments that can change the course of history. When Nyxi comes across a teenage human girl named Corona, the sole survivor of a decimated village, he is faced with an unexpected challenge. Reluctantly, he takes her in, a decision that forces him to confront the remnants of his own humanity. As he struggles to raise and teach this young girl, echoes of his past begin to resurface, threatening to unravel the carefully constructed walls of his cold exterior.
“The Last Survivor” is a tale of unlikely bonds, the remnants of forgotten kindness, and the enduring battle between light and darkness. In a world where survival is a daily struggle, and trust is a luxury few can afford, Nyxi and Corona’s journey will test the boundaries of what it means to be a demon, a human, and, ultimately, a survivor.
Meet the Characters
Corona: A teenage girl (at the start of the series) who winds up in Demonia after her village is destoryed. At first she goes to live with the humans, but she is drawn to Nyxi for some reason or another. She enjoys tormenting him and challenging him.
Nyxi: The Demon Lord who rules Demonia. His roots are very much in the human world as he was raised by a Priest in his earlier years, although in the recent centuries, his old ways have been long forgotton. He is incredibly intelligient, sarcastic and protective.
Keyser: A quiet, passive Keresadian prince who is cautious. He tries to keep the peace, but he often lets his emotions get the best of him at times.
Angel: An unusual boy and Keyser’s adopted brother. He enjoys hanging out in cemetaries and claims he can see spirits and talk to the dead (at the start of the series). It is uncertain if he actually can, or is deemed medically incompetant.
