I had it done, but didn't get around to posting cause, well, work & migraines. I didn't get around to posting my other scheduled things for Easter- but better late than never. What started as a doodle of Popcorn (yelling at me What started as a doodle of Popcorn (yelling at me for garlic worms, of course 😂) turned into these little pieces. Just a glance at a couple samples I did off the press. Loving this matte acrylic from @cmbacrylic 😍 It works great for sublimation! Seeing my original designs come to life as real products will never get old—this is always my favorite part of the process. This is where I check and tweak things- sometimes colors, sometimes I need to re-work the actual shapes a bit (and allow more of a border). I'll probably condense the hang holes for these more and expand the border a little for wiggle room. These will be samplers for some keychains and earrings. Popcorn discovered garlic worms… and it has absolu Popcorn discovered garlic worms… and it has absolutely changed her life. For anyone new here, Popcorn is my rescue axolotl with some special needs. She has a curved spine, struggles with swimming sometimes, and is extremely picky—about both people and food. But ever since garlic worms entered the picture? Different animal. Our local stores were all out the standard night crawlers, so I had to try garlic worms. Being Italian, this seemed like a stretch- but lotls need to eat! Turns out, Popcorn is just super Italian. Pickles, ont he other hand, doesn't care and will eat *anything*. Now she actively hunts me down and yells at me for more like I owe her money. She will sit there with her mouth open and just yell. ONLY when I am in the area or a human goes by. She waits in her bathtub and will yell. Or beside it and yell. She’s even started yelling at my fiancé, Travis… but refuses to take worms from him. It’s like she’s asking him to go get me so I can feed her. The audacity. March Update 💛 The last month has been a whirlwin March Update 💛 The last month has been a whirlwind behind the scenes as I continue to battle with chronic vertigo, migraine issues and all that jumbly goop. 😅 I had my big migraine clinic appointment, which brought some new treatment options — including a device (Nerivio) and new abortive medications to try. I had additional MRI and neuro testing done which showed some mechanical issues- disc problems and cervicogenic involvement, so i'll be starting a different kind of PT for that now. Vertigo is still hanging around relentlessly (ugh), but there is some good news: Since starting Nerivio every other day, my head pressure and pain have been much more manageable. I’m using far fewer painkillers, which feels like a small but meaningful win. I feel like when I do get the pain aspect, it dissipates after awhile or can be nipped with a little bit of Tylenol. Hey, i'll take it! A huge thank you to my fiancé for helping me work through this and just being downright amazing. He's been my ROCK through this all- and I feel like I am finally starting to get some answers, even if they are just a small piece of the puzzle here. Because of the appointments, testing, and unpredictable vertigo, my machine work has slowed. Some days I can work 6–8 hours. Other days it’s 2. Everything feels a little up in the air right now — but I’m adapting.❤ At some point, I’d really like to share more about what it’s like running a small creative business while navigating all this. It’s messy. It’s strategic. It requires constant adjustment. And I know I’m not the only one doing it. I feel like i'm always screaming PIVOT! PIVOT! PIVOT! haha. For now, thank you for the patience and support.
